Well, here we see another self portrait of mine, from a few years ago... when I had not discovered the miracles of Vector graphics or digital sketchpads... I drew this sucker with a mouse in MICROSOFT PAINT. If you zoom in you can actually see the little bitmappy pixels.
Yes, and it took me an eye-stabbingly long time to do... (I think I clocked it at 36 hours.)
So yes, thank God for Vector graphics... Or perhaps, thank someone named Vector. Such tools have cut my time in these types of drawing to about a third.
Well, for one thing, in MS Paint, you are only allowed 3 undos in memory. In Flash, you can undo an unlimited amount of times. Also it's easy to copy and paste and move things around in Flash. If you draw a line, and you like it but wish it was a little more to the left, or a little more curved, you can just click and drag on it instead of having to draw it again.
Another thing is when I drew this picture, for some reason MS Paint would make my computer crash occassionally because of the largeness of the picture being in bitmap format.
x.x Sorry for the length, I just have a bone to pick with MS Paint.
Well thank you for the fave an the compliment. But I have to disagree. I sooo do not prefer MS Paint after working with Flash. Gimme gimme Vector tools!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Have a great time everyone and please fav this article so as many people can see the featured works. I would recommend seeing each one and faving them too.
